STAGE THREE: BIBLICAL COUNSELing CERTIFICATION
Biblical Counselors are called, trained, and equipped at a greater level to provide in-depth biblical counseling using God's word as the basis of helping people.
Certification Requirements:
- Completion of First Two Stages of NV Training
Phase One of ACBC Certification
- 30 hrs. of Biblical Counseling Fundamentals
- 10 Hours of Counseling Observation
- 1000 Pages of Required Reading
25 hrs of supervised counseling
(5:1 Individual Supervison)
Training Template Session Reports - due with each session
LEVEL FOUR: - ACBC CertificatiON
Biblical counselors are encouraged to take steps leading to certifications and increased qualifications as counselors.
Phase Two of ACBC Certification
ACBC Exams
- Completion of In-Depth Theological and Counselor exams.
- Additional Reading Requirements as Assigned
Phase Three of ACBC Certification
- Completion of ACBC Certification process
- 50 sessions of supervised counseling with an ACBC Fellow
- Additional Reading Requirements as Assigned
